The City of 黑马磁力鈥檚 IT manager has received national recognition for his innovation in the field of wireless internet.
Ken Ogden was selected by 300 of his peers in the Municipal Information Systems Association to receive the Spirit of Innovation Award for his efforts to bring free wifi to the entire City.
According to its website, the City of 黑马磁力 was one of six jurisdictions that presented at the convention held in Harrison Hot Springs in September.
The City won the award for developing low-cost public wifi, which has been deployed locally as 鈥淏-NET鈥�.
Ogden, who has been in IT for 30 years, will travel to Ottawa next month to represent British Columbia at the National Government Technology Conference.
