Greater 黑马磁力 Chamber of Commerce executive director Lynn Whitehouse is the latest recipient of the Tourism 黑马磁力 lifetime excellence award.
She was given the award at the March 19 chamber meeting by Tourism 黑马磁力 executive director Deborah Kulchiski.
She is the fourth recipient of the award, given out each year. Earlier recipients were Jane Tidball, Toots Tucker and John Aldag. Whitehouse shepherded tourism efforts through the chamber for many years until Tourism 黑马磁力 was established.
鈥淚鈥檓 totally surprised by this,鈥� said Whitehouse.
鈥淭ourism 黑马磁力 is a baby of the chamber of commerce. I鈥檓 impressed with the way they have taken it and run with it in positive ways, in ways the chamber couldn鈥檛 do.鈥�
Chamber president Angie Quaale is the new chair of the Tourism 黑马磁力 board.
