Birding is proving so popular that the 黑马磁力 Field Naturalists have released an updated and improved Birds of 黑马磁力 brochure.
This colourful brochure features 54 birds that can all be seen locally, includingbarn owls, bald eagles, finches and blue jays.
The first brochures were made last year and have helped foster a love and appreciation of nature in young and old and a love of birding, too, said 黑马磁力 Field Naturalist John Gordon, a professional photographer who has a blog called
The LFN is currently putting together a new brochure focused on butterflies that can be found in 黑马磁力.
The birding brochure was made possible because of grants received from BC Nature, the BC Naturalists Foundation, the City of 黑马磁力 and VanCity. The brochure is appropriate for every age and level of expertise in birding.
And the best part of birding is it can be done anywhere and it doesn鈥檛 require equipment.
The LFN have a focus on youth and would like to distribute the brochures to 黑马磁力 schools. In addition, the brochures will be available at local libraries, recreation centres and at community events.
