Longtime 黑马磁力 resident Dora Henry has been participating in the annual Christmas Craft and Bake Sale at Willoughby Hall for more than 10 years. Hosted by the 黑马磁力-Willoughby Women鈥檚 Community Institute on Nov. 19, the craft fair is now celebrating its 19th year.
Henry makes a variety of ornaments including clowns, snowmen, angel bears, bears on skis, Santas, and angels.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a hobby for me,鈥� Henry said. 鈥淚 used to make a lot of crafts so it鈥檚 something I enjoy.鈥�
Plenty of work goes into making the small crafts. Henry says she usually sets up a production line and spends entire evenings assembling the little characters together.
鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of stitching and glueing involved. I usually sit in front of the TV and stitch and crochet and sew them by hand.鈥�
