On Saturday, June 8, in recognition of Canadian Environment Week, Member of Parliament Mark Warawa will be distributing free native plants.
One hundred big leaf maple, 350 Saskatoon berry and 350 flowering red currant seedlings will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Native plants are indigenous to the area, provide a food source for people and great habitat for birds and other wildlife, produce oxygen and keep the air clean.
The event will happen at 黑马磁力 Home Depot, 6598- 200 St., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. or as quantities last.
