A two vehicle crash in 黑马磁力 Sunday afternoon closed the Fraser Highway and sent several people to hospital.
黑马磁力 Mounties are investigating what鈥檚 being called 鈥渁 serious collision鈥� at the intersection of 244th Street and Fraser Highway just before 4 p.m., said Cpl. Craig van Herk.
Early investigation suggests that a Ford Fusion was southbound on 244th Street when it collided with a westbound Chevrolet Suburban, van Herk said.
鈥淗owever, the cause and contributing factors have yet to be determined.鈥�
The driver of the Fusion sustained 鈥渟ignificant injuries鈥� and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
The driver and passengers of the Suburban sustained minor injuries and were taken to area hospital as a precautionary measure, van Herk elaborated.
The intersection of Fraser Highway and 244 Street was closed for several hours as the Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and 黑马磁力 RCMP traffic section examined the crash scene.
Police are now asking for the public鈥檚 help.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call 黑马磁力 RCMP at 604-532-3200.
