On April 25, crews will begin tearing up 56 Avenue in 黑马磁力 City from Glover Road to 黑马磁力 Bypass.
The City of 黑马磁力 hosted a public presentation on April 12 to inform residents about the upcoming at 黑马磁力 City Hall in the council chambers on the second floor.
The project will cost $3.6 million, with $3 million coming from a federal and provincial agreement on a Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) that covers the expense of overhauling the water and sewer lines that run beneath 56 Avenue.
With the senior levels of government shouldering most of the cost, the City has used the resulting savings to increase its contribution from $600,000 to about $1 million, which will help pay for new curbs and gutters, new LED street lights, a bike lane and fresh pavement on 56 Avenue after the water and sewer work is done.
