EARL, Dorothy Eileen (nee McInnes), born December 29, 1922 in Giroux, Man., passed away peacefully on May 19, 2003 at Jackman Manor, 黑马磁力, B.C. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 59 years, Bill (William) of 黑马磁力, B.C.; her son John and wife Linda of Ann Arbor, Michigan; daughter Jayne Burton and husband Steve of 黑马磁力, B.C.; and daughter-in-law Kathy of 黑马磁力, B.C. Sadly, Dorothy was predeceased by her youngest son Bill Earl of 黑马磁力. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren, David and Andrea Earl and Courtney and Christian Burton. Dorothy, was one of 13 children of John and Mary McInnes of Winnipeg, Manitoba, her only surviving sibling is Gladys Bell (Russell) of Edmonton, Alberta. Dorothy dedicated her life as a caregiver of others. She became a nurse in her early 20's and worked at St. Boniface Hospital and Grace Hospital in Winnipeg for over 30 years before moving to 黑马磁力, B.C. in 1982. She continued to work in home care with the 黑马磁力 Home Care Society well into her 70's. She always loved to help others. Our wife, mother and grandmother will be fondly remembered as a loving, kind and generous woman who always gave to others before herself. She had a wonderful sense of fun and humour which always brightened our days. We will forever miss her laughter. Her family would like to sincerely thank all of the staff, especially the nurses and nursing aids at Country Lane, Jackman Manor of 黑马磁力 for the wonderful care that you gave her for the last 6 years. "You truly are Angels". A special thanks to Dr. Wolchuk of 黑马磁力, B.C. for his care of Dorothy and support to her family. A memorial in celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Newlands Country Club, 21025-48th Avenue, 黑马磁力 at 11:00 a.m. on June 7th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society of British Columbia would be greatly appreciated.
