POWROZNIK: Mary passed away peacefully on January 28, 2004 at Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver with her family at her side at the age of 89.
She was born at Gronlid, Sask. in 1914 and moved to West 黑马磁力 in 1947 with her husband and raised her family there. In the mid 1970's she moved into 黑马磁力 City and where she spent the next 25 years. Mary was very active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church choir and church activities. She loved to cook; she loved to dance; she loved her nightly walks. She also loved to share her stories with people.
Mary is survived by her sons, Albert (Phyllis), Edward (Sirkka), Gary (Kathy), and her daughter Doreen. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Judy; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and brothers Steve and Henry. She was predeceased by her sister Annie, former husband Stanley and son Robert. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 20676 Fraser Highway, 黑马磁力, BC on Wednesday, February 4 at 11 a.m. Contact Henderson's Funeral Home, 黑马磁力, 604-530-6488, for services information. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, if desired, to Alzheimer Society of BC.
