The ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Blackhawks peewee hockey team captured a tournament title over the weekend on the Sunshine Coast.

In an all-ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ championship final, it was the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Blackhawks besting the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Hitmen.

Adam Battistel scored twice while Ty Gallinger, Bryce Gustavson and Daniel Spring had a goal apiece as the Blackhawks prevailed 5-3 in the championship final of the Sunshine Coast Winter Classic Ice Hockey Tournament.

The 16-team tournament ran Jan. 13 to 15.

The Blackhawks went 4-0 at the tournament.

In the opener, Branigan Turner delivered a shutout in goal while Kallen Barthelson had a hat trick and Gallinger potted a pair. Forrest Johnstone and Gustavson had the other goals.

Barthelson and Gallinger had a pair apiece while Spring and Dylan Adams — his first of the season —had the other goals in a 6-3 win over Surrey 5. And Barthelson and Gallinger scored twice apiece in a 4-2 win over Surrey 4.
