Grizzlies hammer Rivermen

Three goals in three minutes helped the Victoria Grizzlies blast the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Rivermen 7-1.

The Rivermen visiting the Grizzlies' den at Bear Mountain Arena on Thursday night in BCHL junior A hockey action as the rivals met for the second time in less than a week.

And much like the first meeting — a 5-1 Victoria victory — the Grizzlies were all over ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ on the scoreboard.

Wesley Myron potted a pair in the first period and Wade Murphy made it 3-0 after 40 minutes.

The Grizzlies then scored three times in the first 4:24 of the third period, with Myron completing the hat trick and Dante Godinho and Jarryd Ten Vannholt adding singles.

The sixth goal marked the end of ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ goaltender's Michael Barr's night.

Rivermen defenceman Ryan Bakken ruined Jamie Tucker's shutout bid.

Cam Lawson scored late for Victoria to round out the scoring, the only shot out of  a dozen to beat the Rivermen's Jim Kruger.
