The ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ RCMP's well-reviewed course on crime prevention is returning for a second year.

The free Crime Prevention Academy was offered for the first time in 2010 by the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Community Policing Unit for residents of ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ City and Township.

There were six sessions, each composed of two one-hour lectures by members of the RCMP, ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ School District, ICBC and municipal fire and bylaws departments.

Participants gave the program a thumbs-up in written evaluations.

“I found the entire program very interesting, and wish I could have taken it long ago. I would highly recommend it," one person stated.

This year the free Crime Prevention Academy will begin weekly sessions (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, March 23rd, ending Wednesday, April 27th.

Seating is limited and you must register to attend.
