The Salvation Army is still looking for volunteers, at least 100 actually, to fill their kettle campaign.
鈥淲e are asking people to offer two hours to stand with a kettle and share a Merry Christmas with those passing by,鈥 said Troy Gaglardi, director of operations at the Gateway of Hope.
This year鈥檚 goal is to raise $250,000 from kettle contributions.
We have 118 volunteers currently but we need approximately 300 (depending on the level of commitment).
The kettle locations are throughout 黑马磁力 and Aldergrove.
Salvation Army operates the Gateway of Hope which is currently over capacity at its emergency shelter. It also offers daily hot meals to members of the community and several resource programs offering job skills and job training, like its successful cooking program.
This is the Salvation Army鈥檚 main fundraiser for the year.
