The in 黑马磁力 at 20902 37a Ave. drew a better-than-expected turnout, with 210 cars on the field Sunday.
Organizer Angie Venne said the event was inspired by the in 黑马磁力 which has been running for 30 years.
鈥淚鈥檝e gone to their shows for years,鈥� Venne said.
鈥淚 was an Aldergrove kid. I thought, why can鈥檛 we do this at our school? We have a perfect community for it. We have cars galore in our neighbourhood, we have an automotive department, we have interest, and, like all schools, we need money. So why not?鈥�
At least $9,000 was raised.
The pancake breakfast proceeds will go to the breakfast club, concession proceeds to the band program, 50/50 proceeds to PAC.
Other funds from the entrance and t-shirts was to go to support other needs within the school.
鈥淭he funds will be put to good use within the school with students and staff needs,鈥� Venne said.
Organizers issued an online thank you to all of the staff, students and BSS families who donated 鈥渢ime, energy and support鈥� and said they intended to do it again next year.
