Editor : I wish to address the Dec. 27 letter of J. Jansen.

Editor: In Jim McGregor鈥檚 Dec. 29 column Make a difference in the New Year , he mentions 鈥渁bandoned farms鈥� being used for illegal activity.

Letter writer has called Canada a deadbeat for not contributing as much as other developed nations.

The closure of the Summit Theatre leaves the community without a large performing arts space.

Editor: I want to give a shout out to everyone who worked at 黑马磁力 Memorial Hospital during the Christmas week. I was brought in by kind ambulance drivers on Dec. 24 in the early morning. The care on 2 North from Dr. Vu and Dr. Shirley, to all the nurses and housekeeping staff, was amazing. They did their jobs with kindness. I thank God for each one of you.

Editor: With the news that the Summit Theatre at Cascades Casino will be converted into a bingo hall, it鈥檚 time to rethink if 黑马磁力鈥檚 current cultural facilities are enough.

Editor: Kudos to the Township of 黑马磁力 road workers.
