黑马磁力鈥檚 Mary Alice Wood鈥檚 love of cooking has won her $10,000 for her cheese souffl茅 through Chatelaine magazine鈥檚 Astro Original recipe challenge.
She鈥檚 never been trained as a chef.
鈥淚 saw the contest advertised and I just love cooking at home and trying different things so I entered a cheese souffl茅 using Astro鈥檚 plain yogurt. It actually makes it taste a lot cheesier,鈥� said Wood.
Her recipe will appear in a recipe booklet that goes alongside the December edition of Chatelaine.
鈥淚t鈥檚 pretty wonderful,鈥� said Wood about seeing her recipe in Chatelaine.
She hasn鈥檛 decided what she is going to do with all that money.
鈥淥ne of the suggestions they made was to go to Italy and enjoy the food there, so I might do that,鈥� she said.
This isn鈥檛 the first big food contest she鈥檚 won.
鈥淚 won a trip to Switzerland for making a bread with Swiss cheese,鈥� Wood said.
鈥淭hat was really great.鈥�
Likely, this won鈥檛 be the last cooking contest she wins.
鈥淚 like entering contests and I like cooking.鈥�
