Swimmers in North 黑马磁力 will have a few weeks without access to their local pool this September, as the Walnut Grove Community Centre's pool undergoes its annual maintenance.
The maintenance work is scheduled to start on Tuesday, Sept. 2 and the pool will reopen on Monday, Sept. 22.
Steam room, sauna, and hot tubs by the pool will also be closed down during the maintenance, but the rest of the facility, including fitness centre and gyms, will be open as usual.
Meanwhile, work is progressing on the resurfacing of the 25-metre lap pool at the Aldergrove Community Centre.
The lap pool was shut down earlier this year. Usually it has a similar three-week annual maintenance, but this year age-related issues with the pool's surfacing meant a longer closure and a complete replacement.
Tile is being put in that will give the new surface a 15-year life expectancy.
The repair and tiling project has been ongoing since April, and is expected to wrap up in late August.
The adjacent water park and wave pool remained open.
