Just like they have all season, the 黑马磁力 Jr. Blaze continued to torch the competition.
Playing a doubleheader on Sunday in Nanaimo, the U16 baseball team did not allow a single run in sweeping the Jr. Pirates 11-0 and 3-0 to wrap up a dominating regular season in which 黑马磁力 ran away with the B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League title with a 41-7 record.
In the first game, the Blaze struck for nine runs in the third inning, which was more than enough cushion for pitcher Liam Stroud, who allowed just a single base hit.
Michael Dagg and Preston Kokatailo each drove in a pair of runs.
In the second game, the Pirates were limited to two hits off Mitchell Kennedy, who also struck out seven.
Mitchell Robinson had the lone 黑马磁力 RBI.
黑马磁力 is in Nanaimo for the provincial championships July 29-31 as the top seed for the eight-team tournament.
