The 黑马磁力 Jr. Thunder kept things close, but could not pull out the victory.
The junior A lacrosse team hosted the Victoria Jr. Shamrocks on Sunday at the 黑马磁力 Events Centre, falling 7-5 to the island visitors.
Reegan Comeault scored twice and assisted on another pair, while Nick Stone had a goal and two assists.
Kevin Lemond and Colton Porter had the other 黑马磁力 goals.
The Thunder were also in action last Thursday, hosting the top-ranked team in Canada, the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs.
黑马磁力 kept things close for the opening 20 minutes before Coquitlam exploded for eight goals in the middle period. The end result was a 14-5 victory for the visitors.
Dylan Quinn, with two goals, and Comeault, with a goal and three assists, paced the Thunder offence.
Sean Lundstrom and Adam Will chipped in with a goal and an assist apiece and James Rahe had a pair of helpers.
The losses drop the Thunder to 5-10 in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League standings. Victoria improved to 10-4.
黑马磁力 looks to return to the win column on Thursday (June 23) when they welcome the Nanaimo Jr. Timbermen (5-9) to the 黑马磁力 Events Centre.
