Eleven-year-old Sean Thomas (centre, black cap) and the Kids Can Help team raised more than $20,000 for the B.C. Children’s Hospital. Over the past four years, the group has raised more than $30,000 under the direction of the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ boy.

The Kids Can Help team raised more than $20,000, which they presented to B.C. Children’s Hospital at their Miracle Weekend Telethon on June 1.

The group raised $20,085.40 through a variety of fundraisers, including coin drives, a talent show, bracelet sales, almond sales, lemonade stands, Valentine strawberries, silent auctions, face painting, and some generous personal donations.

The team, which is spearheaded by ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦â€™s Sean Thomas, 11, held their year-end meeting on May 26 at the W.C. Blair Pool.

The group members also received a surprise video message from Canadian singer Victoria Duffield.

Unable to attend the meeting because she was in Los Angeles, Duffield congratulated the kids on reaching their fundraising goal of $20,000.

And in the four years since Thomas founded the group — which now has more than 30 members — they have raised more than $30,000.
